We are excited to announce that The Matthew Freeman Project: Pens & Paper for Peace is now an official charity partner of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah™ Marathon & ½ Marathon! If you would like to take on the challenge of completing a full or half marathon and want to help support Matthew’s vision, please join TEAM FREEMAN. Plus, by joining the team, the Freeman Project will pay for your race entry fee! As part of our team, we are asking for you to run in honor of Matthew and generate fundraising support for The Matthew Freeman Project. We are asking each team member to raise a minimum of $200 in donations to The Freeman Project. Once again, there are no charges to join the team today! Your minimum fundraising requirement will be due by October 1st, 2011. We encourage each participant to raise more than the minimum fundraising requirement, and we can accept additional donations through race day.

Registrations for charity team participants must be submitted by the charity, so please mail or scan and email the completed form to the contact information below. If you already registered for the race as an individual participant, but would like to join TEAM FREEMAN, please send an email to contact below and a refund from the race can be processed.

Once your entry form has been received, you will receive a confirmation email from the marathon and from The Freeman Project. Plus you will be added to our email list and begin receiving instructions on collecting and sending donations, training schedules and coaching, race day information, etc. We will also be sending out information on how to buy an official TEAM FREEMAN shirt to wear on race day.
